Tampa Bay Charities to Give Back to This Thanksgiving

At Anton Garcia Law, we’re thankful for the support we’ve received from our local community and clients over the years. In order to express our gratitude we’ve enjoyed giving back to local charities across the Tampa Bay area. 

If you’re looking to support an organization in anticipation of the season of giving, we encourage you to check out a few of our favorite charities outlined below.

Big Brothers Big Sisters

Being a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters isn’t just a way to give back this Thanksgiving, it’s a wonderful way to serve the future of Tampa. Start with Big 101, a 90-minute orientation then move through the application process to get paired with your Little, who you will be asked to spend a set amount of time with per month. Meals on Wheels

This Thanksgiving is a good time to sign up to help serve our senior and homebound neighbors in Tampa Bay. As a Meals On Wheels volunteer, you are delivering much more than a hot, nutritious meal. You also provide much needed human interaction for seniors when they need it most, even if it is at a distance.

Humane Society of Tampa Bay

This holiday season it’s not just people who need your help, it’s also a great time to support animals in need as well. The Humane Society of Tampa Bay organization is dedicated to ending animal homelessness and providing care and comfort for animals. As a volunteer, you’ll take dogs for walks, give socialization, clean kennels, and more.

This organization offers several formats for volunteering including long-term, short-term, fostering, group volunteering and more. Visit their website to get started with the online training so you can get involved.

The Spring of Tampa Bay

This organization provides safe spaces and empowering services to survivors of domestic violence, as well as their children. For over four decades, The Spring of Tampa Bay has been a leader in this area. Our team loves their thrift store and boutique, both located in South Tampa. 100% of the net proceeds from both of the stores support their effort of keeping survivors and their children safe.
