A New Jersey judge denied a teenager who is suing her parents for money any relief. She is claiming her parents were abusive and they forced her to move out. Her parents claim she simply did not want to follow their rules. The judge cited concern over setting a precedent where parents everywhere were concerned about implementing rules for the children to follow for fear of then being sued by their children. The daughter is staying with friends and seems to be well taken care of by them. Had the daughter been homeless or living on the street perhaps the judge’s ruling might have been different.
